                    The second EC meeting for the year 2013  was held at Dr A.L.M Post Graduate Institute Of Basic Medical Sciences, Taramani Chennai 600113,  on 16 .03. 2013 (Saturday) at 11 .am in the Department of Anatomy                                                                                        
Following executive members were present

The following members conveyed their inability to attend the meeting

President Dr .P.Saraswathi  welcomed the gathering and called the meeting to order.

Following items were discussed in details and resolved

• Forthcoming conference plan of work was discussed, by Dr.S Sundrapandian Organizing Secretary of the 36th Annual conference informed that the conference would be conducted on 5th & 6th of October, 2013 at SRM MEDICAL COLLEGE, POTHERI.
• Officially General Secretary, Assoc. of Anatomists -TN will send the first circular to all the members/colleges by April first week 2013.
• Members discussed about streamlining the best paper award for the oral session. It was resolved to make few changes under PG and Staff categories and members requested Prof Dr.S.Sundrapandian, organizing secretary to prepare a draft of regulation for the same. This will be discussed in next EC meeting.
• The Judges for UG & PG Dissertations competition were finalized.
• General Secretary, Dr.Senthil Kumar requested all the members to motivate students and increase the number of participant for the Dissertation Competition. The last date of submission will be 7.7.2013.
• The executive members congratulated Editor in-Chief, “International Journal of Anatomical Sciences”, Prof.A.Krishnamurti and his editorial team Dr.J.P.Gunasekaran, Dr.V.Sankar and Dr.S. Rajasankar for their tireless effort in indexing the journal.
• The Joint-Editors Dr.J.P.Gunasekaran and Dr.V.Sankar on behalf of Editorial Board expressed concern over less number of manuscripts being received. To maintain our journal’s standard, they requested all office bearers to encourage association members to submit manuscripts to our journal in time.
• The meeting came to an end with the Treasurer Dr.S.Prakash proposing the vote of thanks
