The President Dr Girija convened the meeting to order.
Prof.A. Krishnamurti, Editor in chief unable to attend the meeting due to illness, apology for absence was conveyed.
Members paid respect to the departed soul late Dr Sudhakar Madhavan and members observed two minutes silence as sign of homage. Secretary Dr.Senthil Kumar requested Dr Girija Sivakumar, the president to pay tribute.
Following agenda were discussed and resolved in the meeting

Christian Medical College expressed their inability to host 2012 conference. Hence Saveetha Medical College was given the opportunity to host the same.

Dissertation competition Topics: UG – Varicose vein and PG- Recent Advances in Medical Imaging.

Auditors report was presented by Treasurer Dr.S.Prakash and approved by the members.

Report about journal editorial was read by Dr V. Sankar, Joint Editor in the absence of Editor in chief. After analyzing the deliberation received from the members and financial status of the Association presented by Dr.S.Prakash, Treasurer it has been decided to allot Rs.60,000/- for the next year Journal (IJAS) publication, that includes both online and print version.

After deliberation it was resolved to reduce the cost of the journal from Rs.1000 to Rs.100/- per issue (only to the life members). Under this new guideline the journal has to be booked by paying Rs.100/- to the Treasurer at least a month earlier to month of publication i.e. for March issue order has to made before 31 January or for September issue order has to be made before 31 July. Number of Journal printing will be based on the requirement or order received per issues. Institutional and non-member subscription is Rs. 1000/- per issue.

It was come to the attention of the members that Dr WMS Johnson has some fine points that could hasten the Indexing process of our Journal IJAS. He was requested to get the help of Karnataka Association to necessary input towards indexing the journal.

Dr Girija came forward on behalf of Karpagavinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences to sponsor awards to the toppers of Anatomy in the Dental College/University from 2012 onwards. This was appreciated by members.
